LoginOkanagan Indian Band Recovery is inviting Expressions of Interest from qualified individuals and contractors interested in supporting the Bradley Creek Wildfire Recovery Program.
OKIB is establishing a dedicated recovery structure to coordinate household recovery, housing, wellness, environmental and infrastructure work, planning, logistics, finance, emergency supports, communications and information management.
The positions below represent current priority lead roles. Additional positions or specialized recovery functions may be added as recovery needs, funding requirements and program priorities evolve.

| Recovery Finance Section Chief | Financial oversight, cost controls, funding claims, reporting and forecasting. |

| Housing Recovery Coordinator | Temporary, transitional and permanent housing recovery coordination. |
| Infrastructure Coordinator | Roads, utilities, water, wastewater and infrastructure/service restoration. |
| Environmental Recovery Coordinator / QP Coordination | Environmental assessment, remediation, monitoring and Qualified Professional coordination. |
| Recovery ESS Lead | Emergency supports and transition of displaced households into longer-term recovery. |
| Public Information / Communications | Resident, community, media and public recovery communications. |
| GIS / Information Management | Mapping, spatial analysis, recovery databases and information management. |
What to Submit
Submit an Expression of Interest identifying the position(s) of interest, relevant qualifications and experience, availability, and whether you are applying as an individual or contractor. A current resume may be included.
Experience and Preference
Relevant experience may include wildfire or disaster recovery, Indigenous community recovery, emergency management, housing recovery, environmental or infrastructure coordination, project/program management, government funding and financial administration,communications, GIS/information management, wellness services, or multidisciplinary-team coordination. Preference will be given to qualified Okanagan Indian Band Members and Syilx Nation Members.
Submission and Selection
Expressions of Interest will be reviewed based on demonstrated experience, qualifications, availability and fit with the Bradley Creek Recovery Program. Submission does not guarantee an interview, contract or employment. Shortlisted parties may be contacted for additional information, references, rates or an interview. OKIB may recruit additional roles as recovery requirements develop. Expressions of Interest will be accepted until positions are filled.
