Okanagan Nation Transition Emergency House
The Okanagan Nation Transition Emergency House (ONTEH) is seeking passionate members of the Okanagan Nation to join our Board of Directors. This is your chance to help guide an important community organization that supports safety, empowerment, and healing.
Who we’re looking for:
•Members of the Okanagan Nation living within the Nation.
•Encouragement for Syilx Women to submit expressions of interest
•Experience in non-profit governance, fundraising, finance, or law.
•A strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
•Lived or professional experience in the anti-violence sector.
What board members do:
•Shape ONTEH’s mission, vision, and strategy.
•Support financial oversight and policy decisions.
•Participate in governance training and meetings.
Please note: Board members do not handle daily operations or direct client services.
Important: Selected candidates will be required to submit a clean criminal record check and sign an Oath of Confidentiality and Code of Conduct.
