Wildfire Smoke Update – July 31st, 2026

Way’ Members, please be advised, the smoke currently affecting the North Okanagan is not from an active wildfire in the immediate area. At this time, there is no immediate threat to Community.

Current conditions indicate the smoke is being carried into the region by wind from Wildfires burning in the Fraser Canyon and south of the border.

Wildfire smoke can affect your health, particularly for children, older adults, pregnant people, and those with heart or lung conditions. If possible, limit strenuous outdoor activity when smoke levels are high and take steps to reduce your exposure.
