Community Update: Garbage Service weight limits

Way’ Members,

Please be advised that there is a weight limit per garbage bag, for it to be eligible for pick up.

OKIB’s waste disposal contractor has notified us that garbage bags are currently being overloaded.

Garbage bags should a maximum of 40 pounds per bag.

If you are overloading your garbage bags, waste removal crews will not be able to lift or remove your bags. Please consider using additional garbage bags, and do not fill the bag to the top if you are including very heavy items.
