Way’ Members,

The OKIB Youth Leadership Council will be hosting a series of clothing swap events in collaboration with the City of Vernon. The Youth Council hopes to introduce climate friendly solutions to community and reduce barriers to getting clothing while also reducing waste.

July 17th will be the soft launch of the clothing swap, and the Youth Leadership Council hopes to host another swap on Aug 14th that will include a workshop on upcycling old clothes and additional swap dates if there is interest.  

We encourage community to bring in gently used and prewashed clothing if they can; however folks can still attend if they do not have clothing to bring
