Student Park Ranger Program Job Postings now open

The Student Ranger Program (SRP) creates meaningful outdoor employment opportunities for students through a wide range of projects – from maintaining trails to public outreach, and everything in between.

In 2026, there will be 40 student ranger positions in 14 locations. Most crews will consist of 1 Crew Lead (Park Assistant 9) and 2 Crew Members (Youth Employment Program). The crews will be in: Victoria (Goldstream Provincial Park), Black Creek (Miracle Beach Provincial Park), North Vancouver, Squamish, Nelson, Penticton, Kamloops, Bella Coola, Prince George, Fort St John, Smithers, Terrace, Mt. Robson, and Wells Gray. Position Requirements:

Both Roles (Crew Lead and Crew Member)

• Registered in full-time studies within 6 months prior to the position starting
• Have, or can obtain, a valid BC class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Crew Lead

• Demonstrated experience leading a group of 2 or more people to accomplish a project (preference for outdoor projects)
• Available to work continuously from April 27th – August 29th

Crew Member

• Demonstrated experience working in a group of 2 or more to complete a project (preference for outdoor projects)
• Available to work continuously from May 10th-August 22nd
