An afternoon honoring the strength, wisdom, and enduring legacy of Syilx women at the 13th Annual Syilx Women’s Awards.

Members of the Syilx Okanagan Nation are warmly invited to gather in celebration of the strength, wisdom, and enduring legacy of Syilx women.

This celebration honors Syilx Okanagan women for their leadership, service, resilience, and dedication to uplifting our people. Each award category is named after a respected woman whose legacy continues to guide and inspire us. Their strength, wisdom, and example remain woven into the fabric of our community.

Families and loved ones are warmly welcomed to attend, share in this special gathering, and celebrate the women who carry our teachings forward.

We look forward to coming together in the presence of Elders and Nation leadership to honor these remarkable women and the lasting impact they have made on our Nation.

The awards recognize women in the following categories, each named after a remarkable woman whose life and contributions have shaped our Nation:

Note: A Ribbon Skirt Parade will take place during the gala – guests are encouraged to bring their ribbon skirts and join in this special celebration!
