Community Notice: Finance and Audit Committee Accepting Applications (Deadline March 27)

The Okanagan Indian Band’s Chief and Council are inviting qualified community members to apply to join the OKIB Finance and Audit Committee.

This standing committee supports Council by providing independent oversight of financial reporting, internal controls, audit processes, and compliance with OKIB’s Financial Administration Bylaw.

The committee includes two (2) qualified voting Band members and one (1) non-voting youth member (aged 18–24), alongside Council representatives.

Applicants must demonstrate financial competency, be in good standing with OKIB, and be able to attend meetings regularly. Band employees, contractors, and others with direct financial relationships to OKIB are not eligible to serve as independent community members.
