BCCDC Heat Prevention tips
The BCCDC Indigenous Knowledge Translation Working Group (IKTWG) has a new resource for Community. We have addressed extreme heat in this four-part series.
Background: After hearing from many Indigenous community members and the Indigenous partners of the IKTWG (First Nations Health Authority, Metis Nation BC and the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centers), the IKTWG developed heat related resources to protect ourselves and our loved ones from extreme heat events that take place in our changing climate.
Below are the names and links to each resource:
Part 1: Extreme heat is most dangerous indoors.
Part 2: Take care of each other when it’s hot out.
Part 3: What are the signs of heat stroke?
Part 4: How do I cool down my body?
