4th of July Cross Border Canoe Paddle Journey for Youth

The Okanagan Indian Band, Language & Culture Program is looking for OKIB youth aged 13-18 to attend the annual 4th of July cross border paddle. 

EVENT DETAILS:

When: July 3-4, 2026
Where:  Nk’Mip Campground (8000 45th St, Osoyoos BC V0H 1V6)

Ages: 13-18 (OKIB youth only)

*OPEN TO OKIB YOUTH AGED 13-18 ONLY.*

Participants have the option to camp overnight on July 3-4. Youth who choose to camp will depart on the afternoon of July 3 and return the evening of July 4. Youth who are not camping may join the canoe paddle on July 4, which is the day the paddle will take place.

Important: Participants MUST have valid, non-expired ID to cross the Canada-US border in form of passport and/or status card. It is encouraged that the youth bring both forms of ID if they have both.
