Youth Leadership Council – Shop and Bop Clothing Swap and Sewing workshop

New date: September 4th 3pm to 6pm at the New Horizons Building

Way’ Members,

The second Shop and Bop event date has been moved to September 4th instead of August 14th

In addition to the clothing swap the team will also be hosting a sewing workshop and participants can learn basic sewing skills, and learn to re-use materials and make something new out of recycled fabrics. 

The OKIB Youth Leadership Council will be hosting a series of clothing swap events in collaboration with the City of Vernon. The Youth Council hopes to introduce climate friendly solutions to community and reduce barriers to getting clothing while also reducing waste.

We encourage community to bring in gently used and prewashed clothing if they can; however folks can still attend if they do not have clothing to bring.
