Chief and Council is inviting members to take part in a conversation about the future of cannabis dispensaries on OKIB lands. This engagement will create space for learning, discussion, and feedback, with the goal of ensuring that any decisions made reflect the values and priorities of the community.
Members will also be asked to share their views on community standards, regulations, and accountability, including what kinds of oversight are necessary if more dispensaries are permitted.
This gathering is designed to be interactive, giving members the chance to ask questions, take part in open dialogue, and share their perspectives. Input collected during the session will help guide future steps and keep community voices at the centre of decision-making.
The engagement session will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Head of the Lake Hall. Dinner will be served during the event.
