National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at OKIB

OKIB will be hosting a Truth & Reconciliation Day event on September 30th at the Komasket Park Arbor.

The event will start at 10:00 AM, with a walk commencing at 10:30 AM in honour of our IRS survivors. At 12:00 PM, we will have a drum circle and share a meal together afterward at 12:30 PM.

Please bring your drums and voices. If you have an Orange Shirt already, please wear it and bring comfy shoes for the walk. Walk will start from the Komasket Park Arbor, loop onto Westside Rd and then back into the park from the daycare and school entrance road, ending at the Arbor (See map for details).

Participants for the walk need to be parked in designated parking by 10am to avoid traffic delays and road safety for walk.

There will also be a limited number of Orange Shirts available for Members on a first come first serve basis while supplies last.
