This event aims to celebrate and promote awareness of Bill C-92 – An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families. It was developed with the goal of keeping Indigenous children and youth connected to their Indigenous families, communities, and culture.
Okanagan Indian Band is pleased to have these two speakers share their expertise about Bill C92 and their extensive work in this field.
-André Bear, B. Ed, J.D. is a Nêhîyaw (Plains-Cree) educator and advocate of inherent Title and Rights.
-J.C. Steele is an Anishinaabe lawyer from Cote First Nation in Treaty #4 Territory.
