DESCRIPTION:Spring Break Day Camps 2026 \nRegistration Link:  https://forms.office.com/r/eHNcZ8G29B \nOKIB Youth Activities is excited to launch another year of Spring Break Day Camp programming. From March 16th to March 27th\, we’re offering a daily program for OKIB Youth aged 6 to 12\, 9:00am to 4:00pm.\nOur first week is full of exciting field trips\, with drop-off and pick-up happening at the Bluebird Building. Our second week will take place at the Cultural Immersion School with many interesting facilitators coming in to share their experience\, knowledge\, and some fun and engaging activities.\nParticipants will be required to bring the following items every day: \n·       Jacket\n·       Toque and Mitts\n·       Appropriate closed-toe footwear (running/walking shoes preferred)\n·       Clean indoor shoes (for second week at CIS only)\n·       Backpack\n·       Lunch\n·       Waterbottle \nAs well as specific items for some other days (namely our field trips to Sovereign Lake and Public Skating). More information to follow in the confirmation email to go out to all registrants.\nPlease see the attached posters for more details about daily plans\, some field trips are subject to change based on weather and other variables.

SUMMARY:2026 Cultural Safety Education
DESCRIPTION:The syilx Community Safety team has identified the 2026 Cultural Safety Education schedule and would like to extend the invitation to OKIB members. \nCSE is hosted at the syilx Community Safety office (118 Head of the Lake Rd) and facilitated by Chris Marchand and Eric Mitchell. This two day Cultural Safety Education uses a relational process to reflect on the impacts of colonialism on syilx people\, past and present. This training includes:  syilx Identity\, Pre-contact\, Canada’s Hidden History\, Residential Schools and Understanding Truth & Reconciliation.
