DESCRIPTION:Presentation on Bill C-92 \nOKIB Child & Family Services invites community members to a special public presentation on Bill C-92: Enabling Legislation for First Nations Implementation.\nThe presentation will be delivered by Dr. Cindy Blackstock PhD. \nThis one-hour session will explore the practical implications of Bill C-92 and pathways to First Nations jurisdiction in child and family services.\nCindy is Gitxsan and is honoured to serve as the Executive Director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society and as a professor at McGill University’s School of Social Work. She has over 40 years of experience working in child and family services and Indigenous children’s rights. A recipient of the 2023 World Children’s Prize voted on by millions of children around the world\, Cindy is honoured to work with First Nations colleagues on a successful human rights challenge to Canada’s inequitable provision of child and family services and failure to implement Jordan’s Principle. DESCRIPTION:Youth After School activities \nMultiple programs running every Monday through Thursday. These programs will now run 3:15-4:45pm. (except Spirit North Athletics which will run till 6:15pm.
