NOTICE - 2009

ATTENTION ALL OKANAGAN INDIAN BAND MEMBERS:
RE: USE OF ALL BAND RANGE LANDS

  1. The Chief and Council of the Okanagan Indian Band, hereby confirm that the Range Management Process currently in effect for use of any Range land requires ALL LIVESTOCK TO BE REMOVED from all Range land by November 15, 2009.
  2. The Range Management Process requires all Livestock to remain off the Range land until April 15, 2010. This includes the Westside Road area from Highway #97 junction to south end of the Reserve at Whiteman’s Creek.
  3. The Chief and Council requires that any livestock using the Band ranges must be owned by a Band member with a brand registered in the Band members name. Any unauthorized livestock will be removed from the Band ranges immediately.
  4. The Chief and Council, the Range Users and any stock owners are to monitor this process and each other’s activities regarding the use of the Range Land.
  5. The removal of all LIVESTOCK from the Range lands is imperative to the continued productivity of the Range land to produce the natural grass range for the livestock.
  6. The Chief and Council expect all Range Users to abide by the above stated terms and conditions of the Range Management Process.
